We will start the guided tour, which lasts about three hours, next to the Ópera Metro station. From there we will go to the Almudena Cathedral, named after the legendary apparition of a Virgin inside the Islamic wall of the city.

Once inside the Almudena we will know all the details of its architecture, both exterior and interior, and explain why it is so different from other Spanish cathedrals. We will also learn the reason for its unique appearance (it is the youngest cathedral in the country), an explanation directly linked to the competition for power in the capital of the Hispanic monarchy.

Afterwards, we will cross the Plaza de la Armería to visit the biggest Royal Palace in Western Europe.

We will enter through the group entrance, so we will not have to wait in the long line that usually stands in front of the main gate. Once inside, we will marvel at the exquisiteness and ostentation that characterizes its rooms, such as the splendid ceremonial rooms, with their ceilings and walls decorated with frescoes and paintings by renowned artists. You can also tour the impressive royal rooms, with their imposing decor and original furnishings. Highlights include the Throne Room, the Porcelain Room or the Gasparini Room.

• The palace’s luggage storage service will not be available during the guided tour. It will also not be possible to access the monuments with objects larger than 30x20x20 cm. These items must be carried on the front of the body for the duration of the visit.
• If a reservation is made with any kind of discount, it will be necessary to show the document that proves the condition required for such discount. If this is not the case, the difference in price with respect to the regular tour must be paid.
• A minimum of 3 people is required to guarantee the departure. This quota is almost always reached. If this is not the case, we will contact you to offer you an alternative.
• Occasionally, and for reasons beyond our control, access to the Almudena Cathedral may be restricted. If so, the explanation will be given in the outside area of the temple.

You can cancel free of charge within 48 hours of the start of the activity and we will reimburse 100% of the amount paid. If you cancel with less than 48 hours, arrive late or do not show up, no refund will be made.
