Neuschwanstein Castle, known worldwide for having inspired the Disney logo, is one of the most impressive castles in the world for its architecture and location, in the middle of the Bavarian Alps. With our tour from Munich you will have the opportunity to see for yourself this dreamlike postcard.
The Neuschwanstein Castle Tour will take place by train and will start at 9:00 a.m. at Munich Central Station, from where we will travel to Füssen. The trip will take two hours, during which you can enjoy the Bavarian landscapes in all their splendor.
Once at our destination, the mountain village where King Ludwig II of Bavaria – responsible for the construction of the castle – grew up, we will begin our ascent to the fortress. During the tour you will learn about the history of this marvelous building, its seemingly absurd location and its eccentric builder.
Known for his love of the arts and culture, Ludwig II stood out as the most important patron of the composer Richard Wagner. This relationship is indispensable to understand the particularities of a unique building that later served as inspiration for the design of Disney’s Sleeping Beauty castle.
The group will then be divided between those who want to enter the castle and those who prefer to visit the surroundings in more depth and take wonderful pictures (from the spectacular Marienbrück Bridge you can get some of the best panoramic views of this fairy-tale fortress).
After a break for lunch and free time to explore the surrounding area we will return to Munich. Arrival at the Central Station is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
Join our Neuschwanstein Castle Tour and experience a fairytale day in the Bavarian Alps!
